"Free software is software that can be used, studied, and modified without restriction, and which can be copied and redistributed in modified or unmodified form either without restriction, or with minimal restrictions only to ensure that further recipients can also do these things." - Wikipedia on free software These are the free software projects I'm currently involved with: GoboLinux - I'm one of the founders of GoboLinux, an alternative Linux distribution which redefines the entire filesystem hierarchy. In GoboLinux you don't need a package manager because the filesystem is the package manager. Check it out. htop - I wrote and maintain htop, an interactive process viewer for Linux. It aims to be a better top, and hapilly, many people think it is. LuaRocks - I'm the main author and maintainer of LuaRocks, the deployment and management system for Lua modules. Lua is a pretty nice programming language. |

I pulse, sweat and cry music, whether I want it or not. I'm very fortunate to have some extremely talented friends with whom I share the stage every now and then. Fink Ployd - It started as a wild dream but it turned into an ever wilder reality: the Fink Ployd project is a multimedia event in which we perform the Pink Floyd album "The Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety, aiming for the utmost fidelity to the original work. Flaming Pie - I'm also having a great time playing with Flaming Pie, a band that pays tribute to my favorite artists of all time, the Beatles. Misplaced Childhood - Recordings of a solo rendition of Marillion's album Misplaced Childhood, performed only on vocals and an unplugged electric guitar, recorded live. You can listen to it online. I also write music, and hopefully you'll see some of it here in the future. |

Flickr - Photographs and drawings posted at my Flickr account. Not many updates since my camera was stolen, though. Last.fm - Accounting of my music-listening habits at my Last.fm account. The charts don't represent the whole of my tastes as it's only been tracking since late 2006 (and even then with some gaps), but they're a pretty good approximation of what I've been into recently. Orkut - Like practically every Brazilian, I do have an Orkut account, but I haven't used it much lately. LiveJournal - And I do have a blog at LiveJournal but I don't update that much either. Someday it might move here. But then again, maybe not. |
